This edition of the Nation Cup at CVIO Ebreichsdorf 2018 was anomalous, different from the others, not only because it was not on the last day, but also because of the participation of Austrian and German teams only.
Just a few thoughts before we report the final rank: I must look to Germany and Austria with admiration and also with a bit of envy. They managed to create a great movement around vaulting, young people are really interested on it. Austria and Germany are without any doubt the best. It is not just a matter of their very good athletes, many other countries have vaulters as good as Austria and Germany, but the real difference relays on the number incredibly high of young vaulters, both girls and boys who compete in each category, so that they are always at the top. How did you do it? When will we be able to see the same thing elsewhere? When will vaulting be so popular to gain the Olympics?
