To organize a national vaulting competition to be hold together with a 1* CVI might sound and odd idea, but Melanie Gruber and Stefano Gobbi, organizer of the Champions Factory Vaulting Trophy, looked like a challenge worth a try. Regardless of the difficulties, they pulled off the project, happily landing at the Circolo Ippico lo Stradello of Scandiano (http://www.circoloippicolostradello.it/home), thanks to Catia Faietti, who opened the doors of her beautiful stables. Hopefully, the Champions Factory Vaulting Trophy will be successful idea, and maybe become the first of a long line of appointments just like this one.
What are the qualities of this event? Well, from an agonistic point of view, it is the first CVI of the new season, that might lead the way to the categories above the 1*. However, the Champions Factory Vaulting Trophy is unique also for the special prizes offered by the Organizing Committee. Gruber and Gobbi managed to attract many sponsors that provided notable prizes: three week-ends for two people in luxury hotel facilities in Sud Tirol. One at Villa Tell Rooms & Suites Merano (BZ) (https://www.villatell.it/) for the lunger who will gain the best results in both CVI and national event; the Grand Hotel Bellevue Merano (BZ) (https://www.hotel-bellevue-meran.it/ ) will host the lunger who will present the best horse of the CVI, while a week- end at the Quellenhof Luxury Resort (San Martino in Passiria) (https://www.quellenhof.it/) will be awarded to the Club taking part to the competition with the highest number of athletes.
However, The Champions Factory Vaulting Trophy will also be a great chance for the youngest Italians to admire a bit of international vaulting and for the foreigners to get a little closer to the Italian reality. There are still a few days to sign up! We at The Vaulting Review hope to see you all, and to have an exciting competition, to the last point!
